As a newcomer, it can be challenging to transcribe your international education and experience. The Certificate is beneficial to you because it helps to translate your foreign credentials and specialization into a Canadian context recognizable by employers. ECO Canada Immigrant Services:
In an effort to help newcomers and potential immigrants to Canada, ECO Canada has created an online Immigrant Services information portal. Access these services:
- Career Centre – Through a five step process, the Career Centre will help to familiarize you with the Canadian environmental sector. Find resources to help you build a successful career, including tips for overcoming employment barriers, career planning advice, and job preparation tools.
- Environmental Immigrant Bridging Program – Assists internationally trained individuals in bridging the gap between their international qualifications and experience, and the Canadian environmental workplace in order to overcome barriers and create the best employment match.
How to sign up:

Visit eco.ca and sign up as a 'Professional'. If you already have a user account with ECO Canada, simply log in. Registration and use of the Immigrant Services is completely free of charge.

Once you have logged in, click on the "Bridging Program" link under "Explore Careers --> Immigrant Services".
